In order to compete globally and to keep pace with manufacturing advances and technology, we have invested more than S$30 million in the latest state-of-art production equipment and other capital investment over the last three years. The investment has enabled us to meet challenges internationally and satisfy all of our clients’ stringent requirements fully. A testimony to Speedy-Tech’s remarkable quality of business performance could be seen in Singapore’s Enterprise 50 award, where Speedy-Tech Electronics had emerged within the top 15 winners of the 50 best privately run enterprises for six consecutive years, and ranking 1st for Year 2002.

I am proud to mention that our Shenzhen factory in China possesses 36 SMT lines and it was awarded the QS9000 certificate for quality management system in Year 2001. To meet increasing demand for EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) in China, we have set up manufacturing facilities in Jiaxing, 90km from Shanghai in late 2002 to cater to the telecommunications, medical, gaming, industrial controls and consumer electronics industries.

I am also very glad to announce that, in line with our expansion and upgrading program, our Singapore Headquarters and factory have moved to a new building with gross floor area of close to 10,000 square metres – Speedy-Tech Industrial Building in 2002. This new building provides us with greater capacity and capability to serve our customers’ needs, including design, test, logistic support and repair facilities for their Asian markets.
